Exciting day at the Manitoba Legislative Building!
The Indigenous Chamber of Commerce had the opportunity to attend the reading of Manitoba's 2025 provincial budget this afternoon. It was inspiring to witness firsthand the government’s priorities for the year ahead and how they align with our mission of advancing Indigenous economic growth.
The budget’s emphasis on “Building One Manitoba” is a vision that resonates deeply. The significant investments in infrastructure, healthcare, and economic development will play a crucial role in creating opportunities for Indigenous businesses and communities across the province.
We were particularly encouraged by the commitment to job creation and skills development, which will help strengthen our workforce and foster inclusive economic growth. The increased support for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the elimination of the corporation capital tax for crown corporations, will provide meaningful relief for businesses navigating today’s challenges.
It was also a pleasure to connect with Minister Ian Bushie and other leaders dedicated to building a stronger Manitoba. Collaboration between government, Indigenous organizations, and the broader business community is key to ensuring that all Manitobans benefit from the opportunities ahead.
The Indigenous Chamber of Commerce remains committed to advocating for Indigenous businesses and supporting their continued success. We look forward to working together to build a more inclusive and prosperous Manitoba.
