Through Mitacs-funded internships, the ICC has welcomed students specializing in areas such as business, communications, development and policy research, helping to strengthen Indigenous economic initiatives.

This has helped students gain important hands-on experience working with local development initiatives. In turn, the ICC benefits from fresh perspectives and innovative solutions that support Indigenous-owned businesses and economic self-determination.
